Anti-Discrimination Legislation Amendment (Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Sex Characteristics Discrimination Commissioner) Bill 2026

Amends the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 to establish the Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Sex Characteristics Discrimination Commissioner to protect and promote the human rights of LGBTIQA+ people in Australia. Also makes consequential amendments to the Australian Human Rights Commission Act 1986 and Fair Work Act 2009 .
