Treasury Laws Amendment (The Survivors Law) Bill 2026
Amends the: Taxation Administration Act 1953 and 3 other Acts to establish a framework to enable victims and survivors of specified child abuse offences to obtain visibility of, and access to, certain amounts held in a perpetrator’s superannuation for the purpose of satisfying unpaid compensation orders arising from criminal or civil proceedings; and Bankruptcy Act 1966 to ensure that compensation debts owed to victims and survivors are not extinguished by a perpetrator’s bankruptcy.
