Telecommunications Legislation Amendment (Universal Outdoor Mobile Obligation) Bill 2026

Telecommunications (Consumer Protection and Service Standards) Act 1999

  • establish a regulatory framework for a Universal Outdoor Mobile Obligation to ensure that baseline mobile coverage is reasonably available outdoors to all people in Australia on an equitable basis

Competition and Consumer Act 2010 and Telecommunications Act 1997

  • make consequential amendments
