Telecommunications and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2025

Amends the:

• Surveillance Devices Act 2004 and Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act 1979 to enable the disclosure and use of protected network activity warrant information and network activity warrant intercept information in certain circumstances
• Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act 1979 to: transfer the statutory function of the Communications Access Coordinator
• permit limited access to stored communications to enable agencies to undertake development and testing activities
• make a technical correction
• Crimes Act 1914 to clarify the threshold for authorising and varying controlled operations.
